Aurora Anguilla Resort engaged Key Systems Solutions to optimize guest comfort and energy efficiency through the intelligent integration of in-room systems. The goal was to create a seamless, automated environment that adjusted to occupancy levels without manual intervention.

Our team implemented a wireless integration of the property’s access control, smart thermostat, and lighting systems. This configuration enabled real-time occupancy detection, allowing automatic adjustments to temperature and lighting when rooms were unoccupied. The system effectively balanced sustainability and luxury—reducing energy consumption while preserving the premium guest experience that Aurora is known for.

Challenges and Solution

The main challenge was achieving reliable wireless connectivity across multiple guest rooms and suites without compromising responsiveness or system integrity. Our solution utilized Salto access control technology as the occupancy trigger, allowing the control system to accurately determine room status and make dynamic energy adjustments. This approach eliminated unnecessary energy usage while ensuring that guests always entered a perfectly conditioned and illuminated space.
