Project Summary
In early 2024, The Palms Turks and Caicos partnered with Key Systems Solutions to modernize their access control infrastructure through the implementation of the Salto electronic door locking system. The goal was to enhance security, reduce guest lock-out incidents, and simplify key management operations across the resort.
Following system deployment, hotel administration reported a complete resolution of previous access-related issues. The new system provided transparent insight into door authorizations, streamlined guest key creation, and made lock audits effortless for both the Security and Front Desk teams. The installation included two control units, a dedicated server, and card encoders/readers at the front desk to support full operational functionality.
Challenges and Solution
Before implementation, the resort faced frequent guest lock-outs and time-consuming key management processes. There were also concerns about the complexity of deploying a new system while maintaining hotel operations. Key Systems Solutions addressed these challenges with a structured rollout plan, coordinating closely with the hotel’s Maintenance team to replace all door locks efficiently.
The Salto system was configured to support multiple departments, ensuring easy replacement of lost or damaged keys and smooth day-to-day operation. Its robust auditing capabilities and intuitive user management tools immediately improved security visibility and administrative control.
